No valet, but parking on Magnolia or a side street
They have a small menu, everything is homemade Italian, but very, very creative. If you got online to Facebook or Yelp, you can see a pic of their menu
great Italian food!! you can get authentic Italian food and its BYOB!
First time I've ever been there, not impressed. There was really nothing special about the food. It is BYOB. Now here's what helped me give a 2 star rating, if you take a bottle of wine bring a glass also or they will charge you $3 for a glass. I won't be back.
Pasta Alla Valtellinese was amazing! wonderful service & BYOB bonus
This tiny little restaurant is fantastic! The service was prompt, the atmosphere inside was cozy, and the food was outrageously good! I had the veal with rissoto cake, which was wonderfully savory. Even my date who hates rissoto had to admit that this was excellent. My date ended up with the tenderloin, which he said was some of the best he's ever had.Just keep in mind, the restaurant is very small and fills up fast inside, though they also have outdoor seating. The chairs inside are not the comfiest, but the food definitely outweighed that in my estimation. I haven't had Italian food this tasty at a restaurant since I was last in Italy. It's a quirky little place with great food, so I highly recommend it.
The food here is amazing. I started with the soup of the day, which was pumpkin, and could've stopped there and been happy. It was very thick and creamy. Then I had the Cornish hen with lemon cream pasta which was delicious. For dessert I had the panna cotta with strawberries. I'd be there every week if they weren't so expensive. Also they only take cash so you have to plan ahead.
Very delicious and authentic Italian food. Attentive wait staff. Just know that the place is small and you may have to wait, especially if you can't sit on the patio.
Most authentic Italian youll find in this town
Delicious yummy Italian food Texas style you cannot go wrong here
Very well kept and convenient place. They offer large meals and for economical rates. I loved the meals very much and the waiters were very attentive and explanatory. I recommend this place.
Delicious! I wish I had tried this place years ago. Homemade pasta with fried chicken (super thin) and red bell pepper soup were perfect. Great service, too. For authentic (not pretentious) food, try it.
This is a hard restaurant to review because I am very picky about my Italian food. The patio is larger then the inside so I sat outside. The waiter was very nice and gave good recommendations. I had the brusetta for my appetizer. It was sub par. The ingredients were not very fresh and there was too much balsamic. The house salad was surprisingly good and fresh. I would recommend that. The waiter recommended the home made tagatelli. It was good but not worth the 5$ up charge. My chicken was over fried and dry. The arribitta sauce was excellent. This place has a lot of potential but needs some more work
Very fresh food. Good portions. I had the lemon chicken for lunch and it was great.
Menu is very limited, but all the dishes we tried were good.I had bruschetta to start. It's not what you classically think of when you have bruschetta - ingredients are chopped very finely and mixed with balsamic - you then eat it on a crostini. For my entree, I had the limon e spinache, which is a lemon and garlic cream sauce. It's very rich, and sits heavy, but tasty.
I have order from this place twice an the food is amazing but customer service is the worse the girl that answers the phone is very rude an rushes u thru the whole call an then tells u it will take an hour an 15 min for ur food to be ready , is like they want u to chage ur mind an cancel ur order they act very entitled not giving them my money ever again!!
Excellent food, excellent service and excellent atmosphere
Good food. But no credit card. Not the for business travelers
I've only been once, but look forward to visiting again! The quality of the food is astounding. This restaurant has character, a pleasant atmosphere, & the unorthodox seating is well worth the experience.
Definitely has the feel of a local European mom and pop place. Salad and bruschetta were flavorful and but on the small side. Chicken Milanese was properly cooked with a flavorful breading. Penne arrabiata was not as spicy as it could have been, but still good. Tilapia salad was perfect for a hot summer meal, with the fish cooked through but not overdone. We skipped dessert, as nothing really worked for lactose intolerance. Outside seating let us watch the world go by, though we spent a lot of time shooing away the flies. They don't take plastic and don't serve alcohol, though they are happy to rent you a glass for the wine you bring with you. [The shop down the street was doing a great business the night we were there.] Good location along a restored area with multiple restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
Wonderful food, best Italian food hands down in DFW. Excellent staff friendly and helpful. BYOB.
This is my far the best Italian food I have ever had. I love the romantic cozy atmosphere. I feel like I am eating in someone’s dining room instead of a restaurant. I love the decor and the staff was lovely. I not only loved the food but the experience this restaurant provides.
Okay, the food is good but it seems pretty overpriced to me. I mean, the food is close to what you'd get if you were actually in Italy, but I still don't think that justifies the price they charge. BTW, the Tiramisu here is probably the best I've ever had anywhere.
Hidden treasure on Magnolia- some of the best Italian food you will have in Texas. The lasagna is savory and amazing! They will let you bring your own wine too.
Very small and cash only but worth the trip and the wait. Some of the best Italian food around.
Excellent!! It's a very small place but we were seated immediately and the food came fast. They have a good menu. Prices vary, you can find regular to little higher price dishes but it's worth it.I recommend the rucola and bresaola for an appetizer, the lasagna and the gnocchi for entrees and the Panna cotta for dessert. The environment is very nice.
Will come back. I love their raspberry tea..hot. Came in on a chilly day so it was perf..had the spinach lemon pasta. Was very tart for me but looking over to the tables next to me...salad and soup r next! Server I think is Robert? Very informative and attentive, even fave some history.
Good food and good service
Great to enjoy an outside table at Nona Tata once again. Food was excellent .. amazing evening under the full moon with family!
Worst service! Rude! NEVER eat here again. If there was an iron for zero stars, that is what they deserve
The Italian Food is respectable but the indoor area is tiny, you sit at little tables on wooden stools, not typical of Italian restaurants. The outdoor seating is at picnic tables. No wine sold here, bring your own.
So it’s a pain in the but it’s cash only, but literally worth the price, because the food is an excellent value. I had the Ricotta gnocchi and it was simple, indulgent, creamy, soft, perfection. The focaccia that came with it was an after thought and the side salad pretty mediocre. But those are the point. The actual Italian dish was on point. And it’s byob which is its own bonus.
Very good lemon chicken . Had with hibiacus raspberry tea . I thought it was odd that the pasta had an arrabbiata sauce instead of a lemon white wine sauce. Parking here is tricky and bring check or cash!! But very good even tho it was more than i planned to spend on lunch!
Lovely place for lunch! Delicious soups, salads and panini's. I regret not trying the pasta but it was too hot outside for something heavy. Great service in this tiny little spot. Outdoor seating is also available.Cash or check only, that's really the only complaint I had. It's not even really something to be cranky about. It's posted on the door before you even walk in so I knew before I sat down. Bobby our server also made it known when he handed us the menus and it was also printed on the menu. Great little spot for a tasty Italian lunch. I'm sure dinner is quite yummy too and I can't wait to come back.
A+++++. Great place for date night! Love the intimacy of such a small place. Don't forget to bring a bottle of wine (they have glasses and bottle opener). Definitely get dessert! Oh, and cash only!
Small place. Delicious and Fresh Fresh Italian food!!
Very quaint. A nice date night place with BYOB option. The taste of the food was excellent. Seasoned perfectly.
I constantly stop getting some food in here. I loved the prompt service and well cooked dishes. 5 stars from me.
The best Italian restaurant in North Texas. Chef driven with fresh ingredients and a cozy atmosphere. Easily the best red bell pepper soup I've ever had. Maybe the best soup I've had. It's amazing. Don't skip the house made pasta and the apple and pear cake. Best of all, it's BYOB. Bring a nice bottle, the food deserves it.
Only accepts cash or check and they don't let you know that at the beginning. When you bring your wine you have to pay $3 per glass to drink it from so bring your own glasses or just don't drink. I loved the calamrai, it's not fried, it is sauteed. I enjoyed the food but staff was hardly around when we needed them.
A great "go to" Italian restaurant when you really miss Italia! Bring cash as they don't take cards.
Delicious authentic Italian...we love this small gem for its European vibes. Bring your own wine bottles and glasses. The lasagna is the best you'll ever have!
Very good Italian reasonable price very small dining area inside a hidden gem
Best Italian food in Fort Worth by far! The food is made with care and you can taste the love put in it. Not just my favorite Italian place in Fort Worth, but my favorite restaurant. Get there early because the place packs up, definitely worth the wait if you don't though. AMAZING food!
I've been a fan of this place for years, however, the last two times weren't that great. Food is still good but the environment has deteriorated. You sit on a dirty, not swept sidewalk while a homeless man stares at you while you're eating and occasionally walks up to your table to organize cigarette buts on the ground. Also, they make no effort to keep away flies and mosquitoes...Food is too expensive to be harassed by the homeless, flies and mosquitoes. Supposed to be authentic Italian, well in Italy they clean their F'ing sidewalks in front of theirs places.
I go to this lovely spot many times a year! This is the best place to grab a bite. I go to this spot many times. The meals are just great, the staff members are friendly and the price is reasonable. I enjoy being in this place for a decent meal.
Homemade Italian in a hole in the wall atmosphere. I had the lasagna and it was delicious! A little pricey but worth the quality of the food served! BYOB and bring your own glass if you don’t want to pay $3 a piece to use theirs!
Great little restaurant with well crafted food. Would rate higher but the salad was from a bag
Best Italian food in most anywhere on the country. Almost (almost) beats my Nana's cooking and that's saying a lot.
Came here with very high expectations but was not impressed. Fresh pasta was good but the artichoke was undercooked and tough. Flatbread with mushrooms and arugula was a little too raw, dry and stale. Salad was also disappointing. Might give this place a second chance eventually.
Cute little place. Really liked their bruschetta.
Casual neighborhood gem. Probably less than 10 tables inside with additional covered patio seating. Fantastic food. The house-made special pasta is very good. It’s offered as a an upgrade to some menu selections. Tuesday-Friday only. Check service hours before you go and bring cash. No credit cards accepted.
